HISTORY
Klapec Trucking Company's history began when, at age 18, Bert Klapec, founder, bought his first used dump truck and hauled house coal and gravel. As the fleet of trucks and trailers grew, larger quarters were needed. At first maintenance was done in the back yard in the cold, mud and snow.
The business was moved into an old leased building
on Cherry Run Road in Rouseville, Pennsylvania.
The building was remodeled and a portion added. Later, the
headquarters were moved to the old Independent Refinery building on North Seneca
Street in Oil City, Pennsylvania and a new building and office were built. The
business continued to grow and in 1986 moved to the present location in Reno,
Pennsylvania. Today Bert's daughter, Cindy Urban, is President and KTC
boasts a force of 75 trucks, 150 trailers and employs 90 people from all
surrounding communities.
From "regular" flat-bed and van freight to specialty cargo and over-dimensional loads Klapec Trucking Company does it all! We are proud of our team of professional drivers, shop and office personnel. Working together has been our philosophy of delivering exceptional customer service for over 60 years.
